The American Legion Post 30 meets the 4th Tuesday of each month
at the Veterans Home on Legion Drive in Scottsboro. Meal begins at 6:00 pm; meeting begins at 7:00 pm. The meal is free so come join us. We are part of the 13th District. One district meeting is held each quarter at different posts.

A 2011 Full Membership meeting of the Jackson County Fair Association will be held on January 3, 2012 at 6:00 pm at the Veterans Home in Scottsboro. (PLEASE PASS THIS INFORMATION ALONG TO OTHER MEMBERS). At the meeting, Election will be held to fill three vacancies on the Fair Board: Positions Available: BOARD OF DIRECTORS (Talmadge Smith's term ends in 2011); (5 year Term); BOARD OF DIRECTORS (To replace Wanda Bolin [resigned] term ends Dec 2013) (Note: Bernie Arnold serving in this position until Election January 3rd 2012) and 2ND VICE-PRESIDENT - 1 Year Term ends December 2012; (Note: Joe Stapleton serving in this position until Election January 3rd 2012.). Persons elected to serve in the available positions on the Board of the Jackson County Fair Association, Inc., MUST be willing to work for the Fair Board which works for BOTH ORGANIZATIONS - THE AMERICAN LEGION POST #30 and VFW POST NO. 6073. Qualifications to Vote in the January 3rd, 2012 Election of Fair Officers/Board of Directors are as follows:

Note: A member in good standing will have paid their dues and possess a Current Membership Card (2011 Card is good until December 31, 2012) or possess a Life Membership Card.

• Cards will be checked before election begins
• Note: Any member nominated or indicating they wish to be considered for one of the open positions must be a member in good standing of American Legion Post #30 or VFW Post No. 6073 or their Auxiliaries.
